The version shown on the photo with the fixed rear sight is referred to as M.1854/I, manufactured 1854-57.
An improved version with an adjustable rear sight (900 Schritt) was referred to as M.1854/II, manufactured 1857-61.

An Infantry Rifle manufactured for trials. A prototype for the M1862 Lorenz guns, it featured an experimental dual trigger system, which was eliminated
for the M1862 guns.

Adjustable Rear Sight 300-900 Schritt
This Lorenz Infantry rifle has a straight grip, a cleaning rod, 2 barrel bands and a nosecap. Very similar to the M.1954/II except the materials for the barrel
and spring were improved. It accepted the M1854 Socket type Bayonet. In 1866 the location of the rear swivels were moved from in front of the trigger guard
to the rear tang of the trigger guard, the front swivels were moved from the front to the middle band.

A Short Rifle manufactured for trials. Similar to the M1862 Lorenz guns. It has a distinctive extended metal pistol grip, no cleaning rod, a single band
holding the barrel.

Around 30,000 Lorenz M1854 guns were converted from percussion to breech loading using the Peabody System. The conversions were done in the
Kalemegdan Fortress in Belgrad, Serbia in 1871. These guns were used during the Serbian-Turkish wars.
