This is the export version of the FEG P9 Pistol The pistol features: slide-mounted safety catch, safety on the steel frame, barrel is hard-chromed inside and outside. The barrel latching in the slide is done via three latching ribs. The pistol is equipped with an external hammer with a safety rest to avoid accidental discharge. It has a magazine latching feature. The pistol with a cocked hammer and a round in the chamber can be safely latched by pushing up the manual safety.

The slide is marked with "Hungarian Arms Works, Hungary".

Imported into the USA by Interarms Imports, Alexandria, VA, during 1986-87.

R-9 magazines are longer and not interchangeable with the HP-35.
Serialized parts: Frame on the front of the grip, right side of slide and bolt.
Serial numbers reported are in the OR3000 - OR8462 range.
